Why Trust Our Password Generator?

1

True Randomness

We use the `Web Crypto API`, relying on hardware-level entropy to generate numbers. It is mathematically impossible for hackers to predict your password.

2

Zero Tracking

Your password is created locally in your browser's RAM. We have no servers, no databases, and absolutely no analytics tracking your generated strings.

3

Time to Crack Math

Our live estimator calculates exactly how long it would take an offline brute-force attack to guess your password based on character pool size and length.

Advanced Security Features

  • โœ“
Memorable Passphrases (Diceware)Humans are terrible at remembering random symbols. Switch to "Memorable" mode to generate a sequence of random dictionary words. It is easier to remember, yet mathematically harder to crack than a short symbol password.
  • โœ“
Password Syntax HighlightingNo more squinting at a wall of text. Our output box highlights numbers in blue, symbols in amber, and letters in white so you can accurately copy it manually if needed.
  • โœ“
Exclude Ambiguous CharactersTurn on the "Exclude Ambiguous" filter to automatically remove confusing characters like `1`, `l`, `O`, and `0`, making your password secure yet easy to type on mobile devices.

The Anatomy of a Strong Password

Hackers use automated software to "brute force" passwords by guessing billions of combinations per second. Here is how length protects you:

8 Characters (Letters & Numbers)

Can be cracked by a modern graphics card array in roughly 1 hour.

12 Characters (Mixed Symbols)

Takes approximately 3,000 years to crack.

4 Random Words (Passphrase)

Takes approximately Millions of years to crack, yet is simple enough for you to memorize today.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the generated passwords saved or tracked?

Absolutely not. This tool is built entirely with client-side JavaScript. The passwords are mathematically generated directly inside your device's memory and are destroyed the moment you close the tab. We have no databases and no server tracking.

What makes this generator "cryptographically secure"?

Many basic password generators use Math.random(), a predictable function vulnerable to reverse-engineering. Our tool uses the Web Crypto API (window.crypto.getRandomValues), which generates true random numbers based on hardware-level entropy.

Should I use a Random Password or a Memorable Passphrase?

If you are using a Password Manager (like Bitwarden or 1Password), use the Random mode with 16+ characters. If you need to memorize a master password (e.g., to unlock your computer or your password manager itself), use the Memorable mode to generate 4 or 5 random words. Both are highly secure.

Lock Down Your Accounts

A single compromised password can lead to a devastating data breach. Use our tool to generate a unique, uncrackable key for your most important accounts.
